As a blogger, I have to take tons of photos and videos. I always wonder how some bloggers seem to get amazing, professional quality images and film. Turns out, they all have DSLR cameras. Yes, they're pricey, but they're apparently worth their weight in gold. I plan on buying one of my own soon, so I wanted to learn all about the tips and tricks for getting the best results possible. Thankfully, there is a great book that serves as a tutorial for beginners like me, and also offers great tricks for seasoned pros.

With digital SLR cameras becoming more and more popular as replacements for standalone video cameras, this book helps photographers become better videographers and shows videographers how to incorporate DSLRs into their work. The book includes an overview of the DSLR video tools and process and shows how to establish camera settings for effective capture, light a scene, get sound, and achieve the film look. The book also offers the basics on editing footage into a final product using common video editing tools.

Sounds pretty neat, right? I have been enjoying reading this book, and have found a wealth of valuable information. I never knew how important factors like lighting could be while shooting, but this book offers some great tricks that pros use to achieve the perfect conditions every single time.

I cannot wait till I finally have a Digital SLR camera. I will definitely be using the advice given in this book to make plenty of video reviews! Or Holiday videos...Or family movies...The possibilities are truly endless! I would definitely recommend Digital SLR Video and Filmmaking for Dummies to anyone who wants to learn how to make their videos the best that they can possibly be!
