Dependable Convenience With My Maytag Appliances #MaytagMoms

Anyone who knows me at all knows I love to cook. I am mainly a from-scratch chef, and I find myself most at home in the kitchen. This, unfortunately, allows my husband to make light-hearted jokes urging me to "get into the kitchen where I belong". Lucky for him, I am usually more than happy to oblige, and I take no offense to his harmless ribbing.

Anyway, until recently, I almost never used the microwave for more than simply reheating foods. Defrost in a microwave? Never! Actually cook an entire casserole? No way! I had never even made simple things like bacon or baked potatoes in the microwave before. To me, it just seemed unnatural. Plus, I'd heard many horror stories about rubbery, scorched food, or even worse, foods that hadn't cooked all the way through. But when I received my new Maytag Over-the-Range Microwave, I couldn't resist trying out all of the great features and even (gasp) use it for things I'd never dream of using a microwave for.

On Christmas Eve, my brother and his lovely fiancee came over. They were supposed to come in the evening, but ended up with other plans. So they ended up coming a few hours earlier than originally planned. Of course, being the amazingly awesome hostess that I am, I wanted to feed them. I started running around like a chicken with its head cut off, and I popped my pot roast in my Maytag 6.2 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Range.

Then I started thinking about side dishes. I ended up making a really delicious cheesy broccoli casserole. Since I was all of the sudden short on time, I knew I couldn't just pop it in the oven...The casserole and the roast had to be cooked at different temperatures. So, in an act of desperation, I popped my casserole into the microwave! (Yes, this microwave is big enough to accommodate a large casserole dish!) Take a look!

The outside is sleek, modern, and oh-so-gorgeous.

See how HUGE the inside is?! You can fit most casserole and baking dishes with no problem at all!
Then I set my cooking time, said a little prayer, and hit the start button. To my absolute delight, (and shock) my casserole came out perfect! The cheese and panko topping was nicely browned and crisp, the casserole was heated evenly all the way through, and the flavor was incredible. Who knew a microwave could produce such fantastic results?! I sure didn't!

We also love using our microwave to reheat foods. This is something even my son can do, since Maytag has an awesome sensor reheat feature. No more worrying about cook times and temperature settings. This microwave is "smart" and figures it out for you! (Which is great because my son tends to "over-nuke" foods and has even set an old microwave on fire cooking pizza rolls.)

When dinner was done and our guests left, it was time for clean-up. I'm not going to lie...I hate cleaning. Since I do 99% of my cooking from scratch, I usually have a ton of dishes to do at the end of the day. And I do mean a ton...3 kids, 2 adults, pets, and whatever guests we may have sure do generate a lot of dirty dishes!

Well, thanks to my Maytag JetClean Plus Dishwasher, clean-up  has never been easier. You see, this machine takes so much of the work out of washing dishes, even those that have tough, baked on foods. And the best part? You don't even have to pre-clean your dishes. Just pop them into the dishwasher and go. There are several different settings to use, including one that utilizes high pressure spray jets and increased temperatures that really let stuck on foods know who's boss. It even reduces spotting on your glassware!

The capacity of this dishwasher is also quite large. I have a family of 5, so I use our dishwasher at least once a day. I love the fact that the upper rack has adjustable height and can accommodate even large pasta pots or pitchers. There are also cup clips and a handy utensil tray to help keep your dishes organized and get the best performance out of the machine.

Since getting my new Maytag kitchen appliances, cooking and cleaning has never been easier. This is a brand that is known for being dependable, but they are also on top of all the latest technologies and always improving their products to make life easier for their customers. This is a commitment that has made Maytag a household name for generations.

My grandma used Maytag appliances and still does to this day. But when she came to my house and saw my new Maytag appliances, she was absolutely blown away by the advances made. These are not your Grandma's Maytag appliances by any stretch! (Not that it would be a bad thing if they were...These babies are built to last!)

Overall, I am absolutely thrilled to be a Maytag Mom, and I plan to enjoy several years worth of use out of my kitchen appliances. In fact, I am so impressed that I think I just might purchase a Maytag washer and dryer since our set is sadly on its last legs. I know that by choosing Maytag, I am choosing the best. This brand is dependable, technologically advanced, and performs amazingly. Now that is something I can feel good about!
