***Disclosure: I received a gift card to facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** I have to admit, this time of year is pretty hectic in my home. Okay, who am I kidding...Most days, I literally feel like a chicken with its head cut off, running in circles aimlessly, trying to accomplish about 5 million things at once. For one, I have LOADS of Holiday features to write. (That's a full time job in itself, as any fellow bloggers know all too well.) I also have 2 preschool aged kids to chase around, a moody teen to console and advise, and dishes that don't seem to want to do themselves. Oh, and a marriage that needs time and attention, as well. I'm sure a lot of you moms can relate! It's HARD to keep up with everything this time of year! So with so much already on my plate, planning for Holidays can be quite the challenge. Luckily, I have a secret weapon...One that saves me time and makes my family very, very happy. In fact, over the past couple of years, it's become a new family tradition in my household. Rather than spending hours and hours in the kitchen on Thanksgiving, I head to my local HoneyBaked Ham store. They have literally everything you'd need for a grand Thanksgiving feast, and all the hard work has been done for you already. The prepared foods at HoneyBaked Ham are already fully cooked, you just take them home, heat them, and enjoy. It really doesn't get any easier than that! And of course, with HoneyBaked Ham, you never sacrifice quality or flavor for convenience. These entrees and sides are to-die-for, and feel very fresh and homemade. Recently, we headed to the Chapel Hill HoneyBaked Ham store in Akron, OH. This is literally just a couple of minutes from my house. Talk about convenient! When we arrived, the first thing I noticed were the whole turkeys. These HUGE birds are already cooked by the folks at HoneyBaked Ham, so they only need to be heated and served. We browsed the current selection of mouthwatering meats and sides, and of course, I had to pay a visit to the HoneyBaked Pantry. If you haven't tried the gourmet sauces from HoneyBaked, you are missing out. They have a nice variety of BBQ sauces, tangy mustards, flavorful glazes, and even a creamy horseradish sauce that will knock your socks off! Oh, their soup mixes are pretty exceptional, too. I love a nice batch of homemade soup on a cold, winter's day. Since we will be heading to my aunt and uncle's house for Thanksgiving this year, we decided to pick up the fixings for a pre-Thanksgiving feast fit for royalty. We got sides, meats, Sweet Hawaiian dinner rolls, and yes, I even stocked up on my sauces. No Holiday meal is complete without dessert, so we also grabbed one of the Cheesecake Samplers. Since we're celebrating Thanksgiving, we HAD to bring home some of HoneyBaked Ham's Roasted Turkey Breast. I am not a huge fan of turkey, but I did give this a try. This turkey was moist, flavorful, and has this amazing, sweet glaze that is truly decadent. I still prefer ham, but this turkey, to my amazement, was very, very good. Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely LOVE cheese. It's literally my favorite kind of food. HoneyBaked Ham offers a ton of cheesy, creamy sides. We picked up their Au Gratin Potatoes, their Macaroni and Cheese, their Broccoli Rice Casserole, and their Herb Stuffing. I have to admit, this is a cheese overload in the most delicious of ways. I was in Heaven, literally. We enjoyed our pre-Thanksgiving feast immensely. The kids gobbled up the turkey, no pun intended. The sides were all very flavorful. They didn't taste like the frozen foods you'd find at the supermarket. These are much higher quality, and definitely taste fresher. In addition to the fantastic turkey, we also picked up a Boneless Half Ham. I absolutely LOVE HoneyBaked Ham. The flavor is just so unique and multi-dimensional. There's the sweetness of the honey, but there's also a hint of spiciness...Plus, the ham is so tender and moist. It's wonderful on its own, or it can be used for some delicious deli-style sandwiches. After filling up on these savory Thanksgiving classics, it was time for dessert. You know. Because you're always supposed to leave a little room for dessert. It's the Holiday season, after all! Counting calories can wait! We picked up this gorgeous Gourmet Cheesecake Sampler. This includes Plain, Cherry, Rocky Road, and Turtle Cheesecake. (Can you say "YUM"?) If you're short on time this Holiday season, or you want a delicious meal without hours and hours slaving away in the kitchen, definitely check out your local HoneyBaked Ham store. There's a reason these folks have been around for generations, after all. Their hams, turkeys, sides, and desserts are all ready to go when you are, and they are unbelievably tasty. In fact, no one needs to know it's not homemade, unless, of course you want to let them in on your little secret! Flavor, convenience, and more time to spend with family and friends?
