Anyone who knows me in real life knows I have a TON of "girly stuff". Whether it be cosmetics, fragrances, or styling tools, I have an overflowing assortment of these items. So many, in fact, that once I get done using my flat irons or curling irons, I don't have anywhere to put these still hot tools. Until now, that is. When I received the opportunity to review Cool Care products from American Beauty, I jumped at the chance. They make a professional grade line of styling tool holders that keep these hot tools off of counter-tops and out of curious little hands. I have seen similar products used in salons many, many times, and have always thought this was a great idea. I have never seen a professional hairdresser lay a hot tool down at their work station. They always have a neat little holder available to protect their styling area. I just assumed that unless you worked as a professional stylist, these products were unavailable. I am so glad I was wrong! The folks at American Beauty want to help de-clutter those counters and help promote safety when styling, so they have decided to release these wonderful products to the public.
I received the Wall-Mounted version as well as the counter top version for my review. Since we're currently renting, I decided to use the counter-top Cool Care holder. The wall-mounted holder will get plenty of use when we buy a home next year!
Overall, I really like my Cool Care styling tool holder. It is made of stainless steel, is very sturdy, and can hold hot styling tools and hairdryers with ease. This is awesome, since it removes any fire hazard or the possibility of burnt fingers! I was actually a bit surprised that this product didn't fall over when weighed down with heavier styling tools! It easily held my blowdryer and my Conair SpinBrush and didn't even teeter! I also like that the Cool Care is compact and doesn't take up a whole lot of room on the counter top.
Cool Care would also make a wonderful gift! I know back to school season is here, and a lot of young women will be making their was to dorm rooms, which tend to be a bit on the small side. Cool Care offers a perfect, space saving solution for styling tool storage that will also help keep the students safe. No fires due to hot tools being left out! Not only is Cool Care functional, it also offers the user peace of mind. I can't tell you how many times I worried that I may have inadvertently left my flat iron on after leaving the house and turned around and drove back home just to make sure my house wasn't in flames. Cool Care eliminates the need for worry! I would definitely recommend Cool Care to anyone who wants to ensure absolute safety when styling, or if they would simply like to give their counters a more organized, streamlined appearance.
