![]() As the mom of two children under the age of 2, I am always on the lookout for great products for my kids that will also save me money. I recently learned about Kroger's new line of baby and toddler products, Comforts For Baby. This line is full of must have items like diapers, wipes, cotton swabs, and even formula and baby foods that are great for baby while remaining gentle on your wallet. Let's face it: Babies are expensive little creatures, and in today's shaky economy, it makes sense to seek out affordable products that work well without sacrificing quality. I recently received a Comforts For Baby product sampler so I could try these products for myself. Often, store brand items don't perform as well as name brands, so I was eager to test them out on my little monsters. Included were some sippy cups, baby oil, baby powder, cotton swabs, wipes, diapers, and a great diaper bag with the Comforts For Baby logo. It's no secret that we're a cloth diapering family. I love my fluff! But I still keep a small supply of disposable diapers on hand for trips or when the kids are at a sitter's house. Most of our family and friends don't share our enthusiasm for cloth, so it just makes sense to have a disposable option on hand for when the babies go to spend time with them. I love the fact that Comforts For Baby offers a more eco-friendly line of disposables in their Touch of Nature line. Comforts Touch of Nature diapers are chlorine-free, so they create less air and water pollution than many of the leading brands. Instead of using petroleum-based materials, Comforts Touch of Nature uses natural, plant-based resources for the diaper’s linings and outer cover, so they protect your baby’s skin with natural absorbency and coverage, and reduce the amount of energy needed to make them. All for a soft and comfortable diaper that fits great and keeps your baby dry and happy, at a price you can afford. This is definitely something I can feel good about. When I am not using my beloved cloth, I love knowing there is an affordable, greener option available in the world of disposable diapering. I also liked the Comforts For Baby wipes. They are soft and cloth like, and did not irritate my babies' skin. Some store brand wipes are scratchy, much like sandpaper, and are also very perfumed and super thin. The Comforts For Baby wipes are fragrance free and are textured, making cleaning even the messiest of bums a breeze! The only thing I did not like about these wipes is that they are a bit thinner than my usual brand. Not by much, though, and they definitely aren't tissue paper thin like others I have tried in the past. The baby care products were all great, too. The cotton swabs were high quality, as were the baby oil and the cornstarch based baby powder. I keep these packed in our Comforts For Baby diaper bag, as they will definitely come in very handy on our upcoming trip to Ohio around Thanksgiving. I love that these products are so portable! I also really love the sippy cups. These cups are disposable, should you choose to throw them away. We don't do that in my home, though, and I have been able to wash and reuse these cups quite easily. The cups are brightly colored and the lids stay on very securely, even when a baby is shaking the cup. I would love to see a spill-proof version from Comforts For Baby, though. My daughter is a sippy cup pro, but little Xander is still learning, and some extra leak protection would be beneficial to a younger baby who has not yet mastered the art of sippy cup drinking. Overall, these cups are definitely nice to have on hand, and are easy to use. Overall, I was quite impressed by the products I received from Comforts For Baby. They performed better than expected, and cost a fraction of their brand name counterparts. These are definitely a wonderful find for those smart and savvy families who like being able to save some of their hard earned money. If you're looking for high quality, affordable baby products, definitely give these a try! BUY IT: To learn more about Comforts For Baby, please visit their website.
