***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** In my home, we're all about tolerance and inclusion. The way I see it, hate and discrimination are taught. No baby is born with the ability to judge another human being. This is a learned behavior, and unfortunately, often leads to bullying for things that a person cannot control, like race or ethnicity, disability, religion, or even sexual orientation. As the mom of a gay teen, I want to make sure that ALL of my children grow up valuing and appreciating other people, regardless of the differences there may be. By embracing different cultures and walks of life, it is my hope that my kids have beautiful relationships with people of all kinds. Love and friendship should see no color, gender, or ethnicity. We're all human, and while our outsides may be different, we're very much alike on the inside. So when I learned about a wonderful line of multi-cultural dolls from The One World Doll Project, I was definitely excited. The Prettie Girls! Dolls come in every shade, and are from a variety of different countries. I love the fact that I can offer my daughter the chance to learn about and celebrate her global sisters through creative play. Four dolls make up the Prettie Girls! collection, each with their own unique story, style and personality. Although they hail from different cultural backgrounds, each girl embodies the positive and aspirational attributes that every little girl can embrace. As young grads get ready to take their next step, a Prettie Girl! Doll can be their toy, friend and positive role model, who offers a glimpse into their biggest and brightest dreams by getting good grades, helping their communities and taking their futures seriously. We received 2 of The Prettie Girls! Dolls to check out for ourselves. Dahlia is from New Dehli, India, and Lena is from Charlotte, North Carolina. Each doll comes dressed in a cute, fashionable outfit, complete with shoes and even a purse! There are even adorable accessories like bracelets and necklaces to complete the look. Seriously, how pretty are these dolls?! We just love their unique look! These dolls are 11.5" tall, and can fit into all of your existing fashion doll clothing, should you want to change up their look a bit. They also feature long, silky hair and jointed limbs. Sophie has been playing with The Prettie Girls! non-stop. She just loves them! The funny part? She didn't once comment about the difference in skin color. She just saw some beautiful dolls. That's exactly the way it should be, and I consider that a testimonial to the type of person I hope she continues to be as she grows older. It makes my heart happy to see my children view inclusion for all as a natural thing. If you're looking for a fun way to teach children about inclusion, respect, and the value of hard work and friendship, I definitely recommend checking out The Prettie Girls! Connect With Prettie Girls :You can check out the awesomeness of The Prettie Girls! on The One World Dolls website.

I think muti-cultural dolls are a great idea. Why can't they have nicer clothing?
