***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation has been provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** It's that time of year, everyone! The Holiday shopping season is upon us! (At least it is if you're like me and get an early start to avoid the mad rush of frazzled, last-minute shoppers in December!) For the 2014 Holiday season, I will be featuring tons of great gift ideas for babies, kids, men, women, pets, and even for the person who has everything. We all have some of those on our gift lists, don't we? There will even be loads and loads of chances to win many of the gifts I am featuring. How cool is that?! You can check out my 2014 Holiday Gift Guide at any time from now till Christmas. Make sure to check often, as it will be growing by the day! Like many others during this time of year, I am excited about the Holidays. I love seeing family and friends, and of course, watching my kids' eyes light up when they open their gifts. While this time of year is joyous, it's also important to remember that not everyone is as fortunate as we are. In many other parts of the world, families struggle for basic necessities like food, shelter, clothing, and even safe drinking water. As a mom, I want to teach my kids not only to be grateful for all they have, but to also want to help others. So when I was asked to partner with World Vision to promote their Holiday Gift Catalog, I jumped at the chance. World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization dedicated to helping children, families, and communities worldwide reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. We help transform the lives of the world’s poorest children and families in nearly 100 countries, including the United States, through interventions such as nutrition and safe drinking water programs, poverty relief and community development programs, disaster assistance, and more. Our non-profit work extends assistance to all people, regardless of their religious beliefs, gender, race, or ethnic background. World Vision has a wonderful Gift Catalog that will not only allow you to give some fantastic gifts, but also help those in need. Check out this brief video that shows how it works! Our Review: We received a pair of absolutely stunning, Hand-Carved Serving Spoons from the folks at World Vision. These spoons are one-of-a-kind, and are made by skilled artisans in Kenya. These spoons are approximately 11" long, and are very sturdy. They're hand-carved from a beautiful Olivewood. They come in a pretty pouch made from African fabric. These bags are lovingly handmade by local women. But the best part? These spoons are made to benefit orphans of the Kamba Tribe in Kenya. That's right...When you purchase these stunning spoons, you're also helping improve the lives of children in need. That's something I feel good about, don't you? Overall, I am very impressed not only with these spoons, but with the mission that World Vision undertakes every year during the Holiday season. As you're doing the rest of your Holiday shopping, please check out the World Vision Gift Catalog. They have a wide variety of beautiful, artisan items, and each purchase helps those in need, all around the world. How to COnnect : If you like this set, you'll definitely want to check out the rest of the World Vision Gift Catalog! They have something for everyone, from apparel to ornaments to toys and even coffee! You can also check them out on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their current endeavors and promotions! Enter to WIN : I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will their own Hand Carved Serving Spoons! That's a $65 value!

I usually pick a name from the Angel Tree so that a child can get some gifts for Christmas who may not get anything.

I try to start my shopping early, and catch things on sale. Avoid those last minute rushes in the stores.

I give the gift of time. If there is any way that I can help someone, whether it be wrapping gifts, decorating, baking, or other things, I lend them my time!

I like to help the elderly put out their Christmas (or any holiday) decorations. It's always interesting so hear the stories that go with certain decorations. Thanks.

My neighbor lives alone and has MS, so I take her to all her DR appointments and to anywhere she needs to go. Also, make sure she's ok in the middle of the night when I hear noises and such that don't sound right.

Our church has an angel tree where we can pick a needy child to make their Christmas special. This year, I picked 3 of them. I also made cookies and delivered them to shut -ins. Merry Christmas.

Our church has lots of active ministeries to help the needy including a food pantry and a clothes closet. We also collect for needy children's school supplies and gifts for our service personnel among many others.
