This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done.. All opinions are 100% mine. As much as I'd love to say I have gardens that would make an English manor house's courtyard pale in comparison, that would be a total and absolute lie. The truth is, while I love a beautiful garden and the beauty of fresh flowers, I have no skills when it comes to planting whatsoever. None. I don't have a green thumb like my husband does. Rather, mine is an odd, putrid shade of greenish-brown. You know...Much like the color you might find within a baby's soiled diaper. Yeah. THAT color. I don't know how to plant, when to plant, where to plant, or how to maintain a garden. We have some azaleas and some rose bushes that seem to come back every year, but that is the extent our our admittedly lame landscaping.
This summer, we plan on buying a home of our own. Naturally, with a space that's truly ours, we will want to focus more on gardening and curb appeal. That means I need to get my butt in gear and learn about planting sooner than later!
One of my favorite flowers is the tulip. I love the wide variety of colors they come in, and from what I understand, they're relatively simple to maintain. I recently got a tulip tutorial from Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. They have three awesome ladies who offer simple to understand video tutorials on how to properly plant and care for bulbs. I related most to Juliana, a city gal who offers great tips about how to use bulbs in flower pots to instantly brighten up and renew a room's appearance.
Using the Garden Guru tool, I can even check which bulbs are best for my area, as well as how to properly care for them to ensure optimum growth and yield. This is basically planting for dummies. I just happen to be a dummy when it comes to gardening! Take a look at my planting guide's recommendations:
But the really exciting thing happening at Dig, Drop, Done. has got to be the Curbside Chaos contest! “Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done.” - is an educational effort designed to excite women about the surprisingly simple beauty of flower bulbs - and they're giving away a $5,000 yard makeover!
