Breathe Easy With the Rowenta Intense Pure Air Air Purifier Plus GIVEAWAY ARV:$200 #Sponsored 11/2011/3/2015 ***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. As always, all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.***
The air is getting colder and the days are getting shorter. Kids are well into the school year, and everyone's gearing up for a busy, bustling Holiday season. Unfortunately, that also means that cold and flu season is here, too. Everyone's stocking up on disinfectants, hand sanitizers, and cold medications, but did you know that there's something more you can do to keep your family healthy during "sicky season"?
It all starts in the home. In our homes, we are presented with things like allergens like dust or pet dander, things like formaldehyde, and other things that exist in the very air that we breathe. With furnaces running and windows closed, these are health risks we literally cannot escape. There's no disinfecting wipe for the air, after all. Or is there? Recently, I learned about a revolutionary product from Rowenta that will help ensure your family is breathing easier, not only during cold and flu season, but all year long. The Rowenta Intense Pure Air Air Purifier is the only purifier to remove 99.97% of indoor pollution AND destroy ALL formaldehyde in the air. How cool is that?!
This air purifiers has a series of filters that quickly and effectively remove toxins from the air. Check out this brief video to see how it works:
Pretty nifty, isn't it? I love the fact that we have the technology available to ensure that the air in our homes is clean and healthy.
Here are all of the technical specs about the Rowenta Intense Pure Air Air Purifier:
Our Review:
The awesome folks at Rowenta sent us one of these great units to check out for ourselves. My home needs all the help it can get, to be completely honest! I have asthma and allergies, and we just happen to have multiple pets. I'm pretty sure that at any given moment, our air is pretty funkified. Just keeping it real, folks.
This unit comes preassembled and ready to use, but I took it apart just to show the 4 stage filtration system.
As you can see, there are a few different filters inside the Intense Pure Air. These work together to trap and remove all sorts of pollutants from your air. You will also find a handy filter replacement guide right there inside the unit. This definitely helps keep you on a schedule and takes the guesswork out of maintaining the system.
In addition to your prefilter and Hepa filter is this very cool little filter. This includes Nano Captur™ technology, which permanently destroys Formaldehyde, the most harmful indoor pollutant and a human carcinogen according to the WHO. This technology is exclusive to Rowenta, so you won't find it anywhere else!
The Intense Pure Air is also very user-friendly. There's a simple control panel on the top of the unit. You can choose and customize your airflow settings, and you can also tell at a glance if your filters need to be replaced thanks to the filter indicator.
Not only do you have your basic controls, there's also an indoor air quality indicator that detects pollutants and alerts you any time there's less than optimal air quality. It goes from blue-which is excellent air quality, to purple, and then to red, which obviously indicates that something nasty is in the air. No matter what you're doing, you can always tell with a simple glance how clean your air is.
We set this unit up in Xander's bedroom. He is afraid by himself at night, so he insists on having at least one cat in his room at night. You know.....Because cats can easily destroy any monsters that may be hiding in the closet or under the bed. As you know, with cats comes dander, so it just made sense to set this up in his room. The air my kids breathe matters to me, and clean air means a better night's sleep and ultimately more rest for mama. Selfish? Perhaps. But anything that helps my kids rest also helps me in the longrun.
Overall, we're definitely very pleased with the Rowenta Intense Pure Air Air Purifier. It's really neat to be able to visually see the improvements in air quality take place. I have also noticed that when I head upstairs, I don't end up wheezing or coughing due to any animal dander or dust in the air.
This product doesn't take the place of regular cleaning or vacuuming, of course. Those things are still necessary. What this can do, though, is greatly improve the quality of the air circulating throughout your home, in the areas that matter most. Whether it's a family room or a bedroom, the Rowenta Intense Pure Air will most definitely allow you to have a happy, healthier home! This is definitely a worthwhile investment, in my opinion. I'm torn between using it in my bedroom so I can sleep better, or in my home office where I spend the day... wonder if it would work to move it back and forth?

My place is fairly small, so it would benefit the whole house. Also, I travel for work & it would be a handy way to refresh upon reentry.

In the winter when windows usually closed this will help filter out the stagnate air.

Between bedroom and living room in the doorway. It would be moved into the bedroom at night so I can sleep and not cough. I had pneumonia which rolled into bronchitis two years ago. The catscan shows scarring. I have been hoping someone would have a sweepstake offering an air purifier. I can not afford the full price but can pay the IRS their due of the gift. Thank you and good luck to all who enter.
