Birthday Event Preview: Enjoy Lighting Flameless Candles

There is one thing I love as far as home decor goes that as a mama of 2 babies well under the age of 2 I have been missing terribly.... The warm glow and intoxicating aroma of some beautiful, flickering candles. In my opinion, nothing promotes intimacy and good conversation more than a room full of candles. I have a ton of them in many different styles and scents. A personal favorite was of the jarred variety....But all of these wonderful candles are sitting on a shelf, collecting dust. Sure, I have a few in higher up places like on the fireplace mantle and on top of dressers, but I have not been able to light any candles on end tables or the coffee table in almost a year! Why? Because of the safety hazard they present to my toddler.

Pretty much as soon as she started "toddling" and exploring anything she could touch, the candles went away. I couldn't leave them out, because my Sophie-Monster is super-curious and as quick and destructive as the Tazmanian Devil, and leaves a wake of destruction in her path to prove it! She also has absolutely NO FEAR. After all, this IS the same child that broke a toy and swallowed a button battery. On Mother's Day, of all days. Enough said. So obviously, Sophie and candles DO NOT MIX.

I was very excited to get a chance to try a flameless candle experience by Enjoy Lighting. I have used other flameless candles before, like the one put out by a famous, not to be mentioned fabric refresher spray company. I found them to be unreliable, and the scent faded from the paper "covers" very rapidly. Not to mention, they are flimsy! Luckily, this is NOT the type of product Enjoy Lighting offers. I really love these flameless candles. They are incredibly realistic in appearance and feel, and they smell absolutely wonderful! I have these "burning" in my room right now, and the room has a light, yet distinct scent of freshly baked pumpkin pie! The smell is noticeable but not over-powering. The flicker feature of the LED bulbs is also a very nice touch. In darkness, these candles cast shadows and play tricks of light on the walls, just like a conventional candle would! I honestly believe that unless you told someone these were not "real" candles, no one would be able to tell without examining them closely. Now that, my friends, is pretty darn impressive if you ask me!
