***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation has been provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** It's that time of year again, folks! Kids are heading back to school, the days are getting shorter, and pretty soon, cooler weather will be setting in. While I love this time of year, I hate it at the same time. Back to school season means adjusting schedules, getting up before the sun makes its appearance, and of course, the "back to school blahs". It seems that every single year, without fail, we end up feeling under the weather. Perhaps it's the foreign germs being brought home from school by my son, or maybe it's just the change of the weather affecting our bodies. Regardless, it's not something I look forward to. Heading back to school is rough on parents, too, it seems! One way I try and keep the "back to school blahs" at bay is by stocking up on natural supplements from Puritan's Pride. (I am the Supplement Queen, according to my husband!) I am a huge advocate of natural products, and I truly believe that Mother Nature provides everything we need to keep our minds and bodies in tip top condition. There are so many supplements to choose from. Some offer an energy boost, some offer immune support, and many offer support for overall well-being. No matter what your needs, the folks at Puritan's Pride have got you covered. These folks have everything. Seriously. They are truly a one-stop wellness shop! Why Choose Puritan's Pride? I have been a Puritan's Pride customer for years, and I have never had a bad experience. In fact, their high quality standards and super-low prices are second to none. Here are some quick facts about Puritan's Pride and their commitment to providing their customers with unsurpassed quality and value:
My Back to School Picks for Parents: As we head into cooler, fall and winter weather, getting the proper nutrients and vitamins is super-important. There are several go-to products I try and keep on hand to ensure that I can keep up with our busy, school-year schedules. I'd love to share a few of these products with you, and tell you why I love them. ***Please note: None of these products are meant to prevent, treat, or cure any disease. As always, please consult a trusted health care professional before taking any supplements to see if they're right for you.*** First, I always keep a large supply of Vitamin B-12. B Vitamins are incredibly important, and have loads of benefits. Some of these benefits include nervous system and circulatory support, and is also very important in the normal formation of blood cells. If these aren't good enough reasons to grab some B-12, it also supports proper energy metabolism in the body. I like taking a multivitamin that is specifically designed for women. After all, men and women have different nutritional needs, so one vitamin really doesn't fit all. I have been taking Puritan's Pride Women's Multivitamins for quite some time, and I have had wonderful results. I am alert, both mentally and physically, and I definitely feel energized and ready to take on the day. The Puritan's Pride One Daily Women's Multivitamin offers a wide variety of vitamins and minerals our bodies need to stay in great condition. Included in this multivitamin are Vitamin D for bone and immune system health, as well as 100% Daily Value of 5 different B vitamins, which support nervous system and metabolic health. Of course the men out there need a good multivitamin, too! While I don't take the Puritan's Pride One Daily Men's Multivitamin for obvious reasons, I do make my husband take them. (I say "make" because he is stubborn and never remembers to take them himself!) This multivitamin is designed specifically with the males of our species in mind. This supplement contains an array of essential vitamins and minerals, with a few added perks just for him. Like the women's multivitamin, this offers Vitamin D for bone and immune support. You know...Because dudes have bones, too. It also offers 100% of the Daily Value in Zinc, which is essential for both energy metabolism and reproductive help. When we were trying to conceive, I had Dan taking Zinc every single day! 4 years and 2 babies later, I'd say it definitely helped! Oh, and an added bonus just for the guys? This also contains 300 mcg of Lycopene, a major carotenoid found in healthy prostate glands. Okay, I'm not even going to lie. I HATE seafood. It makes me gag just thinking about it. So naturally, having a strong aversion to all things fishy, I miss out on the important benefits that consuming seafood provides. To help make up for this deficiency, I take Puritan's Pride Omega-3 Fish Oil. These rapid-release gel capsules provide 300mg of total omega-3 fatty acids, comprising of EPA, DHA and other fatty acids. EPA and DHA fatty acids support heart health. And let's face it: We all kinda need our tickers to be working properly. In addition to heart health, Omega-3's are also found in every single cell and membrane in the body. These "good fats" act as an energy source and even help to balance out all the "bad fats" we consume on a daily basis. While I did not receive this last product as part of my Puritan's Pride Back to School review package, I absolutely LOVE it and just have to share. Puritan's Pride Oil of Oregano is a mainstay in my home, and I actually stockpile it. Seriously, this has come in SO handy, especially during cold and flu season. Okay, so I am required to state that since this is a holistic product, it is not cleared by the FDA to prevent, cure or treat any illness or disease. I would also like to point out that I am by no means a medical professional. However, I would like to share my own personal experience with this product. I am very, very prone to sinus infections. I have horrible allergies, and coupled with cracked sinuses from a childhood injury, I stay pretty sneezy year round. Often, a simple bout of allergies turns into a full-blown infection. Oil of Oregano contains "natural antibiotics" that in my case, have helped to squash my infections very quickly and effectively, without the side-effects of traditional antibiotics. We use this daily for immune support, and we use it when any sort of infection or illness strikes. The results for everyone in my home have consistently been amazing, to say the least. My kids have used it and so has my husband, and we are all in agreement that Oil of Oregano is a must-have in our home. I order this several bottles at a time, and often receive multiple bottles for free when ordering from Puritan's Pride. If you've never heard of the benefits of Oil of Oregano, please do some research and then try it for yourself. I just know you'll be pleasantly surprised! I am a big fan of fish oil, l-arginine and 50 B. I take several other supplements, but now I am thinking maybe we should just go to a good multi and cut out some of the others, hmm...

My favorite supplements are Lemon Balm Extract for insomnia, Holy Basil for anxiety and Maca Root for energy. I love trying new supplements to see what helps my body recover from numerous surgeries faster and what can prevent the fatigue that comes with having a serious health problem. Thanks!

I love to supplement natural vitamins. I have oil of oregano and I make it last because it is so expensive. I give them to my kids sometimes and I take them whenever I think I need to but I am savoring them. :)
