She's the sweetest little dog in the universe, but she does have her moments. She, like many smaller breeds, can be quite stubborn at times. It's as if she knows how cute she is, and totally uses it to her advantage. I just can't stay mad at that face, even if she DID just raid the litterbox and eat a bunch of cat poop. (Did I mention how gross dogs can be sometimes?)
Anyway, Trouble definitely has moments where her "Small Dog Syndrome" comes shining through. Training her has been our biggest challenge. For one, I am no Dog Whisperer. I know how to snuggle and spoil, but I am not the best at training. I rely on outside help for that, such as books, websites, and even expert advice from trained professionals. Help Your Skin and Hair Shine This Spring With Visible Science Organic Argan Oil with Reservatrol3/22/2015 ***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation has been provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** I have to admit, I am a little bit addicted to skincare and beauty products. Okay, more than a little bit addicted. If you asked my husband, he would say that I need some sort of 12-Step program before our entire house is taken over by what he likes to call my "smell good stuff".
Anyway, one thing I have been loving lately is Argan Oil. This is also known as "Liquid Gold", and has been used for centuries on the skin and hair. Argan Oil is loaded with antioxidants, and is known for its healing powers. Argan Oil helps to cancel out free radicals, and also repairs, nourishes, and preserves the hair and skin. As always, all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** Lately, we have been on a bit of a global food kick. For one, having the same old dishes over and over again can become completely mundane and boring. Sometimes it's fun to shake things up a bit, and give those taste buds a reason to sing with delight in a way that cannot be achieved with our old stand-by recipes. I mean, chicken and dumplings is good....It's delicious. But there's nothing new or exotic about it. I don't get truly excited to eat chicken and dumplings.
Experimenting with global flavors can be intimidating, at first. Other countries use a variety of spices and cooking techniques that aren't widely used by home cooks here in the United States. Cardamom? Garam Masala? Coconut Milk? Luckily, while these ingredients sound a bit obscure here in the states, they are easy to cook with, and the results are delicious. Plus, you can find some culinary inspiration right at your local movie theater! Now that the snow has finally melted here in Arrendale..Oops, I mean Ohio, we have been finding every excuse we can to head outdoors. We are blessed to have tons of great parks in my city, as well as a playground in our own backyard. Since the kids have been playing up a storm, I have noticed they are also all tuckered out earlier in the evening. This is great, since it allows my husband and I to have some kid-free "alone time". Hey, when you have 2 kids that aren't in school yet, finding time as a couple can be hard to accomplish! If you're heading outdoors more and more like we are, I have a sweepstakes that you're sure to love. Welcome to the All Day Comfort Sweepstakes! All opinions are my own World Water Day is March 22 established in 1993 by the United Nations General Assembly In the efforts to bring clean water to children all over the world who lack that basic resource, World Vision started the Zambian Project. Over 40,000 Zambians do not have access to clean water. Just think if you had to choose between going to school or spending those hours fetching water everyday. Then the water you fetch is so contaminated that your children suffer from sores and illnesses they get from that water. That is the story of many children around the world. We can easily take clean water for granted, but just imagine..... World Vision Clean Water Campaign The Water Effect is the campaign by World Vision that is successful in reaching a new person with clean water every 30 seconds. Just think that every 30 seconds someone gets clean water for the first time in their life and it is still hardly a dent! The reality is that 5 children die every minute because of the lack of clean water including complications from diarrhea, poor sanitation and unsafe hygiene. Please take a moment to visit the #WaterEffect campaign page. If a monetary donation is not possible, then perhaps a share of this information is! Bringing awareness to any child's needs is one of the best ways to show support!
