***Disclosure: I received an all-expense paid trip to Hollywood to cover various Disney ABC TV Events. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** Did you all see the season 2 premiere of "Mistresses" last week? (See, I told you it was going to be good!) There are lots of twists and turns happening in this hit ABC series, so you're definitely not going to want to miss season the action in season 2. Well during my trip to Hollywood, we got an inside look behind the scenes of "Mistresses." Not only did we visit the ABC studio lot where the fabulous Jason George greeted us, we also got to go on location in beautiful Culver City. They were filming in a quiet, quite posh residential neighborhood, and we were their special guests! (How stinking cool is that?!) When we arrived to the set, we were greeted by a very bubbly Jes Macallan, who plays Joss on the show. She was all smiles, and had definitely had her coffee that morning. (Or perhaps we were all just super worn out after a few whirlwind days in the Los Angeles area.) Anyway, we were absolutely delighted to see that Jes has just as much personality as the character we've come to absolutely adore. But the fun didn't stop there. Oh, no. That's not how the folks at ABC roll. After we chatted with Jes for a few minutes, we got another surprise. Who walks out to greet us? None other than the amazingly hunky Justin Hartley! (You may remember him from "Revenge".) Justin will be playing Scott, a love interest, in season 2 of "Mistresses", and he was more than happy to share his excitement about this new endeavor. Justin had quite the sense of humor, too. I think he realized that we were putty in his hands, to be quite honest. He definitely had fun with our group. He had us cheer for random people as they walked down the street, and he even convinced us that we should LOUDLY sing "Happy Birthday" to him, even though it was May and his birthday was in January. Better late than never, right? And of course we were all happy to do so. Who else can say they serenaded one of Hollywood's hottest TV actors? We really had a wonderful time chatting with Jes and Justin, and I can't wait until he's introduced later this season. The chemistry between these talented actors was undeniable, and I am looking forward to see what is in store for this duo. Justin and Jes had filming to do, but not before they took a few selfies with us bloggers! I unfortunately didn't get a shot with Jes, since she had been called back in to work, but I did get a selfie with Justin. He graciously held the camera since being a very tall guy, he has much longer arms than I do. Yep, he definitely snuggled in close for this one, and boy did he smell nice! (Okay, so I am definitely a bit star-struck here.) After Jes and Justin made their way back into the house they were filming in, we got to head on over and watch the filming from the garage. (This is a lot more interesting than it sounds.) They had some green screens set up to view the filming that was happening inside, and we had to be very, very quiet. It was pretty neat to see just how involved filming a single scene of the show is. They started and stopped and started again, making sure that everything was exactly as the director wanted. I will definitely be tuning in tonight to catch Season 2, episode 2 of "Mistresses". While this was never a show I thought I would watch, I am definitely very pleasantly surprised. You see, a name like "Mistresses" conjures up images of steamy sex and rampant adultery. Yes, admittedly, there is some of that. Okay, plenty of that. But the cheating is certainly not glorified in any way. When bad choices are made, there are life-altering consequences, much like in the real world. There is heartache, regret, and personal growth. And of course, no matter what trouble the ladies get into, one thing is constant: their friendship.
