No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** Like most kids, my little ones are pretty much obsessed with anything Disney. They love the animated movies as well as all of the great programming on the Disney family of TV networks like Disney XD and Disney Junior.
One of their favorite shows would have to be Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. After all, who doesn't love Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and the rest of Mickey's classic pals? Disney is releasing a brand new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD on May 20, 2014. In "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Around the Clubhouse World", Mickey fans young and old alike will love following Mickey and the gang around the world to explore different cultures and traditions.

***Disclosure: I received an all-expense paid trip to Hollywood courtesy of Disney to facilitate my posts. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** As you all probably know by my tweets, Instagram, and Facebook posts, I am currently hanging out in beautiful Hollywood, California with a group of amazing Mom (and Dad!) bloggers. I have had the most amazing experiences including the Million Dollar Arm premiere, as well as some amazing ABC TV set visits. (Don't worry. I will be sharing it all with you over the next couple of weeks!)
But the very first thing our group did when we arrived was celebrate Star Wars Day at the fabulous Lowe's Hollywood Hotel. After all, we did arrive on May the 4th, which is better known as STAR WARS DAY! We got to meet some intimidating Storm Troopers, chilled with R2D2 and Chopper, and even got to talk with Vanessa Marshall, who is the voice of Hera in the brand new Star Wars Rebels animated series, which is coming to Disney XD this fall! To check out my full experience and learn more about Star Wars Rebels, click HERE. ***Disclosure: I received an all expense paid trip to Hollywood to cover the Million Dollar Arm premiere, Star Wars Rebels Event, and ABC TV Event. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** So I admit, until this past week, I was a Star Wars virgin. That's right. I had never seen these movies before. Well, except Episode One in the theater about a million years ago. I didn't remember too much of it. This week, I ran out and bought the entire Star Wars collection on Blu-Ray and had a bit of a "binge-watch" so when I am in Hollywood TODAY, on Star Wars Day, I'd know what everyone was talking about. Surprisingly, I am actually enjoying the movies and I absolutely adore Yoda!
So what Star Wars news do I have to share with you? Well, this is going to be something all young Jedi Masters will flip for. There is going to be a brand new series this fall on Disney XD! "Star Wars Rebels" is an animated series that has tons of adventure and epic Star Wars action. Okay, so you all know I am SUPER excited to be attending the Hollywood premiere of Disney's "Million Dollar Arm" starring THE Jon Hamm. (He's a huge deal in my close circles, and I know plenty of ladies who turn to a pile of mush at the very mention of his name.) This movie is bound to be one of the best movies of the year, and has an amazing story line. Which is based on a true story, by the way! I don't know about you, but I love feel-good, real stories. It seems there is so much negativity nowadays in the media and news, so something that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside is always a treat. Here's the official boilerplate: Based on a true story, sports agent JB Bernstein (Jon Hamm) finds that business has changed and things aren’t going well for his career. In a last ditch effort to save his livelihood he concocts a scheme to find baseball’s next great pitching ace. Hoping to find a young cricket pitcher he can turn into a major league baseball star, JB travels to India to produce a reality show competition called “The Million Dollar Arm.” With the help of cantankerous but eagle-eyed retired baseball scout Ray Poitevint (Alan Arkin), he discovers Dinesh (played by Madhur Mittal from “Slumdog Millionaire”) and Rinku (played by Suraj Sharma from “Life of Pi”), two 18-year-old boys who have no idea about playing baseball, yet have a knack for throwing a fastball. Hoping to sign them to major league contracts and make a quick buck, JB brings the boys home to America to train. While the Americans are definitely out of their element in India, the boys, who have never left their rural villages, are equally challenged when they come to the States. As the boys learn the finer points of baseball, JB, with the help of his charming friend Brenda (Lake Bell), learns valuable life lessons about teamwork, commitment and what it means to be a family. Directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay written by Tom McCarthy, Walt Disney Pictures’ drama “Million Dollar Arm” stars Jon Hamm, Aasif Mandvi, Bill Paxton, Suraj Sharma, Lake Bell and Alan Arkin. The producers are Mark Ciardi, Gordon Gray and Joe Roth. The executive producers are Palak Patel, Kevin Halloran, Bill Simmons and Connor Schell. The film will be release in the United States on May 16, 2014. Sounds pretty awesome, right? Especially for all those die-hard baseball fans out there. (Go Tribe!) I am literally on pins and needles with anticipation and cannot wait to see it in Hollywood in just a few days. In the meantime, I am being teased by great clips like this brand new one: Thanks to support from moviegoers nationwide, Disneynature and theNational Park Foundation (NPF) are celebrating the results of their conservation initiative tied to the new movie“Bears,” which is in theaters now. SEE “BEARS,” PROTECT OUR NATIONAL PARKS committed a portion of ticket sales during opening week (April 18-24, 2014) to the NPF, and as a result of fans’ enthusiasm, Disneynature, through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, is supporting NPF programs across the National Park System, which will:
-Benefit parks that cover 2.9 million acres of our nation’s most treasured land. -Restore or conduct research on more than 400,000 acres of national park service land. -Study and protect at least 75 species of animals and plants—many of which are endangered or threatened. -Provide internships to more than 60 high school and college students to conduct authentic, place-based field research. -Educate thousands of school groups, teachers, families and other park visitors on the importance of wildlife protection and habitat restoration. -Support landscapes that range from the long-leaf pine forests of South Carolina to the slickrock country of the Colorado Plateau to the beaches of Hawaii.
