Whether it's a trip to the park, a nature walk, or just a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood, we're always getting out and about with the kids. After all, it's a great big world out there, and kids love to explore new places and meet new people. Having a 2-passenger wagon has definitely come in very handy during these excursions! We absolutely love our Step2 Wagon For Two Plus, as well as our Choo Choo Wagon. These are not only adorable, they provide parents a place to tote around sleepy kids who are not in the mood to walk, or those who just want to be pulled along in style. Not only that, but wagons are a great place to store snacks and drinks, or that favorite toy that simply can't be left behind! But here in Ohio, it tends to get absolutely frigid and we also get lots of snow. (Yeah, I am still not quite used to experiencing a "real winter". So needless to say, we don't get out for many wagon rides during the winter months. However, that does not mean our wagon has to sit in the garage collecting dust, all by its lonesome. There are several awesome ways that one can incorporate their trusty wagon into their indoor routines as well! One of my favorite uses for our Step2 Wagon For Two Plus is to use it to store our art supplies. Sure, the kids have art desks with incorporated storage, but I definitely don't trust leaving a large supply of markers, paint, glitter and crayons where two mischievous toddlers can access them 24/7. When it comes to arts and crafts, I tend to break out the needed supplies on demand rather than just leave them out. This have saved my walls, carpet, and furniture from being "decorated" by my little DaVinci's. The Step2 Wagon For 2 Plus is a great organizational tool. I can easily fit a cup full of crayons, markers, paintbrushes or colored pencils in the cup-holder. In the middle compartment, I can store things like construction paper, felt, fabrics, and more! There is storage under one of the seats which is ideal for things like scissors, glue sticks, paints, clay, or tubes full of glitter. This feature has come in very handy, since I like keeping the messier items separate from the non-messy items like paper. As you can see, our pretty pink wagon makes a very nice little arts and crafts cart. Everything stays together, and when it's not being used for projects, I can simply roll the wagon into another room where my curious kids can't get into it. (I put it into our formal living room, which is protected by baby gates!) We also use our wagons for toy storage. It has been especially helpful for things like blocks, Legos, or even all of the play food that accompanies my kids' kitchens. A wagon also makes a terrific place for all of those fluffy stuffed animals. Or, when all else fails and the kids get tuckered out from a day full of creative play, a wagon makes a nice place to take a nap. Sophie decided she wanted to do just that! (Of course this is not a recommended use, and if it is going to be a nap-time option, the safety belts should be removed so they're not a hazard.) Have you ever used your wagons in unconventional ways? Maybe you decorate it for Halloween and take it trick-or-treating? Perhaps it's a place that you store your diapers and wipes? I'd love to hear your ideas! Connect With Step2 :

we have the same step 2 wagon (in green) and my son just loves being pulled around the backyard! What a great idea to decorate it for halloween and go trick or treating with it! We can do that at the mall we are going to, thanks for the idea!
