In August, we bought our nearly 100 year old home and made the move from Virginia (good riddance!) to my home state of Ohio. While we love our new home, it definitely needs a lot of work and updating. We would like to completely remodel our full bathroom, get new kitchen flooring, and there is some horrendous wallpaper in our formal living room that absolutely has to go.

But since our home is paid for and we have all the time in the world to worry about big home improvement projects, we decided that our best game plan is to start small, making changes that allow our new house to truly feel like a home.

Our first focus, naturally, has been the kids' rooms. We want them to feel like their rooms are a reflection of their personalities. Xander has a huge Monkey and tree wall mural, but Kyle and Sophie's rooms were rather plain. So I went hunting for some fun, removable options for the kids' walls. Why a temporary design? Well, as any parents know all too well, kids' tastes change, and I want the option to be able to easily change their room decor when the time comes with very little hassle.

That's when I discovered RoomMates! This awesome company specializes in decorative wall decals, murals, and even wallpaper that is sure to fit any age, phase, or style. They have tons of amazing products that are suitable for the kids' rooms, but also for any area of the home you want to add a little character and pizzazz to! The best part? These decals are simple to move and reposition, and never leave any sticky, gunky residue behind. They're also suitable for application on any color wall!

We started with Sophie's room. My little diva is 3 years old, and is currently obsessed with anything fairies. She loves Tinker Bell especially, and even has fairy costumes of her own! Well, I was thrilled to see that RoomMates have an awesome selection of Disney wall decals that fit the bill perfectly.

How cute are these wall decals?! Don't you just love them? There is such a wonderful selection of products available, so whether you have a boy or girl, you're bound to find something your child will love.

Okay, back to my Sophie. Like I said, this little girl loves fairies. She has silky, Disney Fairies bedding on her "big girl bed", and I was so happy to see that the folks at RoomMates had a ton of decals that would match it perfectly, tying her room together. (Please note: The "Daddy's Girl" decal is NOT a RoomMates product!)

We ultimately chose the Tinker Bell Giant Wall Decal with Glitter. This wall decal is quite large, measuring in at 1 sheet of 18" x 40" . The assembled Tinker Bell 27.5" x 30.125" This decal set is absolutely adorable, and Tinker Bell's wings have a nice, glittery sheen to them, which really helps make them appear magical. (Much to the delight of my daughter!)

In addition to the large Tinker Bell, there are several smaller decals included in the set. These are butterflies, and even a cute little Lilly Pad! We placed the butterflies around Sophie's existing "Daddy's Girl" decal to really make it pop and to tie the look of the 2 different decals together.

Here is my little Sophie, complete with bed-head, admiring her new room decor. When she first saw it, she squealed and giggled and said she loves her "fairy princess room". Little does she know how quick and easy this transformation was for Mommy and Daddy to achieve! We were able to do it in mere minutes, and while she was asleep. So she woke up to a wonderful surprise!

RoomMates products are so easy to use. Literally anyone can apply them! They go onto the wall with ease, and if you get the placement wrong or want to change them around, they are easy to remove and re-apply. And they don't damage paint or walls in the slightest!

Overall, we are very happy with our RoomMates wall decals. Sophie loves going into her room, and we love the fun appearance of the decals. They really are very high quality, and the colors are vibrant and fresh. These decals are incredibly detailed, and will give any room a touch of whimsy and style. I love the ease of use, and the fact that as my kids grow and their tastes change, I can remove these decals and replace them with ones more fitting.
