Okay, so anyone who knows me in real life knows I adore Dove. I have been using their body washes, soaps, hair care products, lotions and their deodorant for years. My husband and teen son even use their men's line of personal care products. If you go into my ginormous stash of bath and beauty products, (and yes, I do mean ginormous) Dove is a brand that you'll see over and over again.

Not only does Dove have amazing, affordable products, they also do a great deal to help women and girls recognize their own unique beauty. (I am sure you've seen all of the ads for Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty, right? LOVE these!)

As the mom of a little girl and the survivor of an eating disorder, these efforts mean a lot to me. We live in a society where the media is constantly trying to tell us what beauty is supposed to mean. Often times, it's completely unrealistic. I mean, come on...Not everyone is a size 0, and not everyone looks like a Kardashian. (Nor should anyone feel that they have to.) The pressure to live up to such unreal standards can really take a toll on a woman's self-esteem. I have been there. Trust me...I have been there. I did horrible things to my health in the name of "beauty", and it could have taken my life at one point. I now live with reminders of this every time I look in the mirror.

Rather than feel bad about myself, I feel grateful. Grateful that I am still here, grateful that my entire outlook on beauty has changed, and grateful that I have the experience and wisdom to help my daughter avoid negative body image problems in the future.

Dove GETS it. They really do! In their Campaign for Real Beauty, they make it a point to lift the self-esteem of women and girls and show them that we're all amazing, just the way we are. (Are you humming that Bruno Mars song? I am!) Beauty isn't a hair color, a dress size, or the number on a scale. Women are all beautiful, worthwhile, and unique, and this should be celebrated. Kudos to Dove for having the courage to stand up against the norm!

Since I absolutely love Dove's products as well as their heart, I am thrilled to be a Dove Ambassador. This is a company I truly believe in, and it's a dream come true to be a part of the Dove family.

I am also excited because I get to share something brand new from Dove! If you're like me, you're already a fan of their body washes. They've always been fantastic, even in the bitter cold of winter. My skin has always been soft, hydrated, and yummy smelling after using Dove products.

Somehow, the folks at Dove have been able to take a good thing and make it even better! Dove Body Washes have improved their formula by combining the brand’s mildest cleansers with NutriumMoisture. This contains 100% natural moisturizers that your skin can easily absorb, keeping you feeling hydrated, nourished, and velvety soft. This is actually one of the mildest formulas on the market today.

I know what you're thinking...Mild cleansers are great, but often you sacrifice quality in some ways. Maybe the cleansers don't smell as nice, hydrate as well, or lather the way traditional cleansers do. Sure, they're gentler on the skin, but they're not always as luxurious feeling. And let's face it: We ladies like feeling pampered!

Well, with Dove's new formula, you sacrifice nothing. I have had the opportunity to try these new products, and they perform just as well as previous versions. Though the new Dove Body Washes are mild, they still provide a rich lather that you don’t typically see in mild body washes. The Glycinate ingredient, typically found in high-end body washes, not only reduces damage to proteins during cleansing, but also creates a soap-comparable lather that rinses cleanly. And yes, it leaves your skin amazingly soft! I promise I will tell you lots more about these products very soon!

In the meantime, check out Dove on Facebook! Here you can find out all about Dove's product line, compare your current body was to Dove, and even find the best products for your unique needs. You can also share with your friends and get a valuable coupon! This is a very supportive, fun community, so I hope you'll join me there!

Have you used Dove products before? What was your experience with them? I'd love to hear all about it!

Congratulations on becoming a Dove Ambassador! I absolutely love their body wash. In fact, my skin is so sensitive that my dermatologist personally recommended the unscented Dove body wash for me as it won't irritate my skin.

Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty is so inspiring. I commend you for sharing your history with an eating disorder. It's not easy to talk about that, but by doing do I'm sure you've inspired people. In fact, you’ve inspired me. I too struggled with an eating disorder. It’s crazy how something can be your best friend and your worst enemy at the same time. By the grace of God I am still here today and I have been in recovery for 8 years. Don't get me wrong; even though it's been 8 years, I still struggle with body image every day. And having just given birth, good old ED is knocking at the door. But I will stay strong and won’t give in!

It's refreshing to see a company that helps women (and men!) feel empowered about their bodies! Awesome work Dove!

Our family uses a lot of Dove products too. I LOVE their adds with real women--not way too skinny models that girls see too often.
