Here in Ohio, school starts in just 2 weeks! Panicking yet? I am...Just a little! I still need to enroll Kyle into school as well as buy his school supplies. I have ordered his clothing and shoes, so at least I have something accomplished amidst all of the chaos that is my life while transitioning to living in another state.
We have only been here a week and have been unpacking, so now we're rushing to get everything done in time. It's been a little overwhelming, but I think we just may be able to pull it off. I just need to find my SuperMom cape and magic wand. I think it's somewhere in the 50 or so boxes that still need to be unpacked....
Anyway, I love everything about back to school time. Normal bed times commence, my days are a little bit quieter, and my 12 year old gets the chance to make new friends and learn new things.
Oh wait...There IS one thing about returning to school that I don't like. As a matter of fact, I dread it. It's enough to make me want to take a Mom-Cation to somewhere tropical and exotic until the threat has passed and it's safe to return to the home front. You see, every single year, shortly after the beginning of the school year, someone in my home gets sick. And then another, and another until we're all miserable and feeling like walking death.
